Flualprazolam is a tranquilizer of the triazolobenzodiazepine class, which are benzodiazepines fused with a triazole ring. It was first synthesised in 1976, but was never marketed. It has subsequently been sold as a designer drug. The IUPAC name of flualprazolam is 8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H- [1,2,4] triazolo [4,3-a] [1,4]benzodiazepine and its CAS number is 28910-91-0 [9]. Flualprazolam has the molecular formula of C 17 H 12 ClFN 4 , a molecular weight of 326.75 g/mol and a melting point of 203-204 °C [4].
